Centric Parts stresses the importance of replacing the guide pin retaining bolts when available or refurbishing them if not. This is a critical component that virtually all competitors overlook. The cleaning process involves tumbling multiple units at a time in a shot blaster.  By leaving the guide pins on the caliper bodies during this process the smooth plated finish is sacrificed and the pins are often bent. If the pins are bent the caliper body will not slide properly on the bracket allowing the brake pads to wear unevenly.

All aluminum calipers are glass beaded, polished and sealed.  The parts look virtually brand new. Many of our competitors steel shot bead aluminum along with cast iron units, which drastically degrades the finish and destroys the calipers’ structural integrity in the process.
